Great perils have this beauty; they bring to light the fraternity of strangers. ~Victor Hugo

A Global Healing Initiative

This site is inspired by the Healing Our City tent set up in the North Minneapolis neighborhood following George Floyd’s murder. It is also reminiscent of the Covenant Chapel across from the United Nations Headquarters. There, world leaders often pause to visualize world peace. Finally, it honors the traditions of the many cultures that have created quiet spaces for reflection and healing.

So many of us are frustrated and heartsick by what’s going on in our cities, in our world, and on our planet. This space offers ways to address feelings of powerlessness in a positive way to help mend a world of pain. Feel free to share this site with whomever you wish.

Be Inspired

Below is an archive of stories from people around the world who saw a need and effected change. Each of us can be motivated by these experiences to prompt healing in our own way.

To me, connection is the path to healing. Spiritual teacher Ram Dass says it so poignantly: “We’re all just walking each other home.”

Holding healing thoughts for leaders and their followers who seek to suppress democracy, equity, diversity and inclusion. I pray that they come to see the beauty of diversity and difference and our shared humanity in this little globe we share.

Such a beautiful invitation. A reminder of who and where we are: each and all.
